It is remarkable that when most people's salaries cannot keep up with rising costs, people continue to spend money. During the holiday season 2023, shopping for gifts continued to be at record highs. Most people use credit cards to make their purchases. The result they experience is mounting debt. People can't get out of debt by making the minimum payments demanded by credit card companies. Yet, those impulse-spending individuals are not discouraged by any of these factors. Why is this so?
