Janice, about to be 82 in October and still impatient. I'm also working on it and one thing I find helpful is guided medition, just for a few minutes each day.
It sometimes feels "irresponsible" to be patient - or, "do nothing" - especially in the face of problems. Embracing patience helps pull back from the "fixing" reflex.
You are correct. I am now into meditation and it helps. I enjoy writing and I’ve been advised to ignore negative stuff and I have to try harder and must learn to ignore politics and I hate politics anyway. Derek thanks for responding. It helps me.
YES, Everyone I know is telling me the same thing as you are being told and resolved to do: ignore what is said about Gaza, and American politics and etc and that is what I am doing. I am not going to read any posts about Gaza, Israel but I'm incluing what is happening here in the U.S. I've had it. I'm done. I'm posting an essay, tomorow, about "mastering reality." We make our own world in our minds. I choose to go with meditation and letting go of all this negative stuff. So, I agree and we will keep in touch. Allan
The older I get the more patient I have become. Empathy goes hand in hand with patience.
I am definitely more patient now Monica!
85 years old - still impatient - and still working on it.

Beautiful poem and writing. Yes, this.
Audrey thank you
Great Emerson quote Allan!
Pamela it means a lot to me
You appear here to be a very patient person Allan. I was not as patient when I was young. I am more so now, but have my moments!
Trust I also still have my moments
I agree
