Hal David is an enormously underrated lyricist. His words have a depth and feeling missing in those of his peers, which made them a perfect accompaniment for Burt Bacharach's graceful music.
Nice article heavily weighted on the thoughts and purpose of love in our lives, as well as its universal power. Would have liked to have heard more about your closing statement, however: talk about multifaceted love experiences. Perhaps that deserves its own DocTalk article. What are “true love” experiences. What happens to the soul when one believes you’ve traveled through all of life and not certain you’ve ever experienced it??

I just recently watched the re-make of this movie with Jude Law. Great post Allan!
