I did not have a very religious upbringing and thus became a spiritualist, however, Psalm 23, known to me as The Lord is My Shepherd, has always been a favorite. It is such a comforting prayer that also gives strength.
I didn’t have a very religious upbringing either yet my older brother did. It’s a long story and not for now. But I’ve always had an interest. I know the psalm and thought of it because I’ve been feeling somber about world conditions and conditions in our country. Combined with the holidays I’ve been feeling nostalgic about my wife Pat and our lives together. Also I have two daughters and a teenage grandson. I worry about them in the future. So the psalm literally entered my head and I wrote about it. That’s some background information.
